Now when Jesus was born
in Bethlehem...
there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
saying, "Where is he that is born
King of the Jews?
for we have seen his star in the east, and are
come to worship him."
Matthew 2:1-2
This elegant table is in honor of the wise men
who knew the signs of the coming of the
Savior of the world and followed the new star
seeking Him.
Elegant square, scalloped white plates
sit on a silver charger.
They are beautiful by themselves. I love their
square design and the raised texture,
But add the elegant bowl that looks
like a crown and they become royal,
befitting our table for the wise men.
I had seen these on Yvonne's blog
Stonegable in the spring,
and just fell in love. She said
she had purchased them at Home Goods but
I had never seen them there. Just a few weeks
ago, I was treasure hunting
at Home Goods and
they had just put these out that morning! I was
able to purchase 20 of each! That is the best
treasure hunting I have ever had at
Home Goods.
By the way,
Yvonne just announced that she
will no longer be blogging. Visit her exquisite
blog and tell her goodbye. She is such an inspiration
and we will miss her elegant touch that she gives
everything. Her blog was one of the first blogs
I ever visited. Joni (my sister) at
told me I had to go visit this wonderful blog.
Truly, it has been a great experience being one
of her blogging friends.
I just love this royal pitcher with
its rustic elegance. It makes up part
of the centerpiece vignette.
A crown sitting on a rustic
stone pedestal also sits in the center
of the table.
Elegant candles add height to
the centerpiece vignette.
A dessert spoon and napkin sit
at the top of the plate
with a crystal napkin ring.
Silver goblets are at each
place setting.
Here is a closeup of the
grapevine details.
My silver plated flatware have crowns
on the ends of them.
I hope this season of the year
brings you peace and joy
with the good news that
Christ was born.
And may those feelings go with
you through the entire year.
Wise men (and women) seek Him still.
May the true spirit of Christmas
permeate your home and life this year.
I will be posting this with

Wow totally crazy about those dishes! They are stunning. I love the design details on them and the edges! Love the mercury glass on the table as well. Latest fad this season!
I love your elegant tablescapes. I should think you wouldn't even need to FEED your guests. They must be happy to just sit and admire the view. It's lovely!
Absolutely stunning. Oh, so elegant and what a fitting theme. I love your line about wise men and women seeking him still. I am so happy you found these and how you put everything together is quite elegant. Your flatware and silver goblets make it gorgeous!
A gorgeous tribute to the most amazing gift that we could ever receive from our mighty God...that He sent His only begotten son to dwell among us. Knocks me to my knees every time that I think of it. Thank you for inviting us for a peak at your beautiful design. Cherry Kay

So simple, I love white and silver. I haven't been to visit in a while, lots of health issues with parents and it takes precedence. I miss my my favorite blogs and all the great recipes! We had our first snow this week, one of many I imagine. They are predicting a bad winter... but they don't really know, do they???
love the table scape..when's dinner?
That was just beautiful!
The Feast of the Three Kings gets short shrift these days. We leave our tree up until January 6th and celebrate the coming of the Magi at our house.
Breathtaking Jacqueline!
Definitely a table fit for the King of Kings. Just BEAUTIFUL Jacqueline!

Jacqueline -- Those plates are so amazing. I don't remember seeing them on Yvonne's table. You are a lucky girl to find so many of them. I love this table and the significance of it: that Wise Men Still Seek Him! Joni

I'm still stunned that Yvonne left so quickly. I hope she reconsiders and reappears. She has a lot to offer.
You were in Home Goods at the right time, lucky you! Your table is very elegant and you carried through with the theme to the last detail. Horchow has some of classiest flatware on the planet and this pattern is gorgeous. I was also saddened to find out that Yvonne was giving up her blog. She's been a wonderful inspiration and I wish her well.
Very elegant tablescape beautifully put together! And of course the meaning behind it makes it extra special! "Wise Men Still Seek Him!" :)
Your Three Kings Vignette is so exquisite. I have looked at this post several times and I am still amazed. Your photography is stunning!!! I love the photo of the silver goblet with the reflection on it.....WOW!!! Your silver flatware is so beautiful. I love the square design and the raised texture on the plates. Those little bowls with the detailed edges are so beautiful. What a fabulous find on your treasure hunt to Home Goods. This makes me want to drive 80 miles to their nearest location. Jacqueline your design is fabulous.
Peace and Blessings to you and your family,
Katherine S.
Such a beautiful post--words and pics! Happy for you that you found that beautiful china, and the bowls are perfect for this theme. I just bought a crown yesterday, I love yours!! Thanks for sharing!
When making a decision about placing your belongings in storage, it's important to consider how long you plan to utilize the storage facility before choosing a location. The last thing you want to have to deal with is taking your items out of a unit only to find that they have gotten damaged during the time they were in storage. Some storage facilities are designed to store items securely for an extended period of time, but others are only appropriate for short term storage.

Stunning table in honor of the Three Kings. I lovew the scalooped white dishes with the bowl, just beautiful. All the crowns give it the King's touch, along with the packages! Gorgeous! Happy TT. Merry Christmas.
FABBY
I THOUGHT that had to be Horchow flatware!!! It is beautiful!!! I have long been eyeing several of their designs to eventually add to my repertoire. Whoever designs their flatware deserves a medal! The dishes are gorgeous. I found the dinner plates at Home Goods last year, but they were already out of the the salad plates and bowls. I'll definitely be on the lookout for them in future visits. Home Goods is about 30 miles away from my house, so it's always a special treat to drive out there. Gorgeous table, Jacqueline! Have a great day and even greater weekend! :-)
A beautiful and elegant table, Jacqueline! My Home Goods has been such a disappointment to me this past year. I think they've really cut back.
So sad about Yvonne. I get it, though.
Jacqueline the table is BEAUTIFUL.. and i am in love with your royal pitcher.. very unique..~Grace

Just gorgeous, I really love the crown and flatware, very regal looking.
Jacqueline, this is exquisite! A gorgeous tribute to the three kings. Yvonne is oneI'll truly miss. She once advised that she liked to look for white dishes with raised designs around the border. These dishes certainly qualify. How perfect that you were in Home Goods at the opportune moment. These belong on your table.
Very nice, and a great tribute.
So classic and perfect for the Three Kings story. I love it! Also, your gingerbread cakes are ADORABLE!
So lovely, so elegant!! I'm amazed at how many "crowns" you have there, even on the flatware! Wonderful!
