Purple Bling Bling Wedding Cake

June is filled with weddings.  How
wonderful to be able to celebrate with
these wonderful young couples
as they start their journey in life
together.

I entered this wedding reception for my
great friend's daughter Sarah and her
husband Tyson, and my attention
immediately went to the most beautiful
cake I think I have ever seen.

It certainly screams
Purple Chocolat Home
to me, does it to you?

This looked like some high fashion
dress with its pleats and brooches and
diamond studding.

It was so beautiful.  I told my husband I
want to order this gorgeous cake for my
next significant birthday!

Her colors were dark purple and green with
touches of bright pink.

The cake was made by
a Salt Lake City based wedding cake boutique.

It was held at a beautiful garden center in
their glass greenhouse.

My friend Holly did the flowers and
they were gorgeous as always.

I love the look of submerged orchids.  We had
3 vases of full stems of orchids submerged
in water at my sons wedding reception.  It
is such a great look.

The cake was showcased in a central gazebo
inside the beautiful greenhouse.

It is finally time to cut the cake and
have a little fun.

Sarah was just gorgeous.

What a lovely reception Barb.

I will be posting this with
(I know this was mostly purple, BUT there were
dashes of pink and purple is a sister color to pink!)

Chocolat - French for Chocolate. I adored chocolate from a young age when I had to sneak in the cupboard to find where my mother had hidden the Nestle's Chocolate Chips. Having read about the famous chocolat shoppes in Paris, when I finally got there I was determined to try a chocolate from every Paris shoppe. I invite you to share my adventures in creating, in travel, and in life.

  2. It looks like a hat. Not the goofy hats like the ones wore for Will and Kate's wedding though. Beautiful cake.
